Know how to learn on your own.
This might be the most important thing to know how to do when breaking into the data science field.
The data science field is quite new, and information is everywhere. When looking for how to learn something always try — YouTube, Reddit, StackOverflow, and blog posts.
With YouTube, always try to find a video that has the best combination of near-est date, like to view ratio, and channel quality(number of subscribers, etc). YouTube is great when you’re trying to get a full understanding of something. Want to learn end to end about how to use Docker? Go on YouTube. Want a crash course on Python? Go on YouTube.
Reddit is great for engaging with a community for questions. There are thousands of data science professionals on there, asking questions, answering questions. If you want to engage with a community, and get a lot of answers, use Reddit.
StackOverflow is for more specific technical questions, like if you’re running into an error when using a Python library.
And blog posts are usually a decent way to get information fast, just by reading, without having to watch something, or wait for an answer. Or simply get some inspiration from some writers!
